Live monitoring in Retell AI lets you listen to live calls between your caller and the voice agent. It lets you take control of the agent mid-call so you can speak directly with the caller.

This feature is useful for call quality monitoring esp. during the early days of agent deployment.


To use live monitoring in Retell AI, follow the steps below:

#1 Login to your Retell AI workspace and then navigate to ‘Live Monitoring’:


#2 If you don’t see any ongoing call, you can create one by dialling the Retell number from your phone.

As soon as the call starts, you should start seeing the call details:


#3 Click on the call details to see the current conversation between your agent and the caller:
