If you instruct your voice agent to treat collecting a field (say, the caller's phone number) as required, the agent will do exactly what you told it to. It will ask.
And if the caller doesn't answer, it will ask again. And again. And again.
No matter how much the caller resists, deflects, or tries to steer the conversation elsewhere, the agent keeps returning to that field over and over again because the prompt told it the field is required and gave it no other instructions.
